juniors showcase their talent....

Earlsfield held their first show of the season with an action packed night of boxing at the club headquarters on Garratt lane, the junior boxers at the club took the plaudits with impressive performances against well matched opposition, Alfie Arnold collected his first win of the season against Dale youths M.Dunne, both boxers waited patiently and tried to counterpunch there way to victory, at the end of the first two rounds there was little to choose between them but Alfie Arnold turned it on in the last round to take the win.Gary Hearne also faced a Dale youth boxer and again Miley Conners made him work hard for his victory, Gary worked very well at range and when he kept Conners at arms length there was only going to be one winner.Omar Augustine also performed at the top his game with a solid and occasionally one sided victory against Foley's Jamie Currie, Currie started brightly but as Augustine landed with solid looking lefts and rights the belief seemed to drain away from Currie and he looked relieved to hear the final bell upon which Augustine was declared the winner,trophies were presented on the night by returning boxers Bradley Skeete and Ricky Boylan,they were joined by current ABA champion Louis Adolphe who was also on hand to present the boxers with there trophies some of which were taking there first steps in their boxing careers.
