Debut win for Dujah!

Earlsfield hosted the SW london schoolboy championships at there gym on Garrat lane, eight boxers progressed including five from the host club,Kane Corby,Alfie Arnold,Oki Speare,Taylor Aying and Omar Augustine will all compete in the London semi-final next weekend 19/20 January in Feltham. Debutant Dujah Haughton made a winning start to his boxing career with a hard fought victory over fellow first timer Jack Gordon from the world famous Fitzroy Lodge, both boxers started well and Haughton had a narrow lead at the end of the first, Gordon battled back in the second and Haughton finished the round with a bloody nose but showed great determination to rally in the third and take the unanimous points decision from the judges.George Beasley also made his debut in a close bout which was won by Double Jab's Ali Haydare. Michael Dymtrishak continued his good form with a win over Germaine Brown from Fitzroy lodge and Mitchell Ayling made it two wins on the bounce with a classy display against the gutsy Gabriel Marsh from Double jab, Ian Otenio scored his first stoppage victory when Omnibus Loxfords T Conteh failed to recover from a barrage of right hands in the final round of the contest, Josiah Nyatambe returned to action after an absence of five years to drop a majority points verdict against the powerful karol Pavlik boxing out of Uxbridge via Poland, Josiah looked to have taken all the Pole's best shots and done enough to win the contest but the judges favoured the big Pole's power over Josiah's skillful boxing.
