Earlsfield held there final show of the season at the gymnasium on saturday 18th May,Jake Casswell made his first appearance in an Earlsfield vest but sadly it was not a winning debut after he dropped a disputed majority points decision to Finchley boxer Jacob Peterson,Casswell started well landing solid straight jabs from the bell,Peterson struggled to cope with Casswell's height and reach advantage and as the round wore on Casswell looked in control before landing a heavy left/right combination which bloodied the nose of Peterson and left him shaken as the round drew to a close, the second started with Peterson coming forward trying to land his big overhand right on the chin of Casswell, when in close Peterson worked well landing solid hooks to the body, Casswell traded on the inside giving his height and reach advantage away and allowing Peterson to get a foothold in the contest, as the third started both boxers attempted to take control and Casswell seemed to be taking control of the final session although it was untidy at times with Peterson warned for infringements and it was somewhat of a surprise to see Petersons hand raised in victory.Charlie James picked up the first win of his fledgling boxing career with a hard fought win over New Addington's Dylan Blyth. Frankie Reed found Dale Youth's Trevor Corcoran too hot to handle and the search for his first win continues,Earlsfield boxers look set to appear at the Fitzroy lodge show in Kennington on June 8th.
