Daniel Parker progressed to the National semi-finals of the senior novice championships with a stoppage win against Weymouth ABC's Tony Randall, the Weymouth fighter started well working behind his jab while Parker opted for a more measured approach against his taller opponent, Parker looked for the opening and with Randall backed up against the ropes Parker landed a solid left hook to the body which had the Dorset boxer gasping for air as he dropped to one knee while the referee adminstered the count, Parker looked for the finish as the contest continued but Randall looked to keep the Earlsfield boxer at range before another body shot saw the Weymouth boxer hit the canvas again, the bell sounded before Parker could land another telling shot, Parker started the second round on the front foot and worked the body once again before a powerful left hook caught Randall flush on the chin and he saw the canvas for the third time, Randall rose but on unstaedy legs and the referee waved it over to signal victory for Parker.Daniel Parker will be joined in the semi-finals by Conor Marsden who was not required to box at this stage.
